Transportation is a Lifeline

Transportation is a Lifeline

Did you know? By 2030, an estimated 20 percent of U.S. residents will be aged 65 and over – a huge proportional jump from 13 percent in 2010 and just 9.8 percent in 1970?

And yet, the average American outlives his or her ability to drive by 6 to 10 years.

Hyde Shuttles is here to fill the gap.

From running everyday errands to maintaining friendships, from doctor’s appointments to visiting a senior center, safe, reliable, and respectful transportation is a lifeline—an escape from loneliness and isolation, and the means to stay connected and improve the quality of your life or the life of a loved one.

So, if your parents or senior loved ones, or yourself, can no longer drive or no longer want to drive, what can you do? What personal transportation options exist? And, which will work best for the seniors you love most?

Fortunately, we at Hyde Shuttles are here to help.

We provide curb-to-curb and, if needed, door-to-door transportation using shuttle vans equipped with wheelchair lifts. Our drivers are compassionate, patient, and love working with older adults. Best of all, the service is free!

The only requirements are that you live in one of our service areas, are 55 or older, or have a disability.

Advanced reservations are required. Call 206-727-6262. Press 1 for Reservations.
